Tell your doc you were in a minor accident and he/she will often check for retina damage, nerve response, and bruising that can occur a few days AFTER the accident. I gotta assume you're both ok, your response didn't say otherwise, and the cabin looks OK. Keep an eye on your back and neck for about a week, sudden stops can take some time to show damage.
