		<description>I agree completely: the main thing is making sure investors have enough information to make informed decisions on whether or not to fund a loan....that being said, if the correct mechanisms are in place I believe it will be the next big thing in lending....assuming the government doesn't step in and kill it.</description>

		<description>As you imply there are new sets of risks associated with social lending/ p2p lending, that mainly centre on ensuring the investor is receiving accurate information when they make their decision.  Nontheless if done properly, the opportunities for the industry are significant.

The  push to regulation is good in regard to investor protection, but may reduce the availability of this opportunity to small investors, depending on how the regulations play out.
